The Kingdom Kids team would like to wish you a happy half term and hope to see you back on Friday, 6th March.

Friday 19th September

The evening started with Rachel leading a game of Fruit Salad. Then we did our team points which involved being there, wearing team colours, team colour mascots and new people. We then sang our theme song with some groovy dancers. Next we had Throne Room, which was very funny as Nathan had stickytape around his mouth and earmuffs on his ears. The reason why, we were looking at when Jesus healed the man who was deaf and mute. Ellie did a game called Honey I Love You But I Just Can't Smile (very funny). Later Emma led a team challenge to make a medal to show how Jesus is a champion. Next we did Chinese Whispers which involved praying. Finally we sang May the God of Hope with lovely singing.

FRIDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2008

Friday 12th September was the start of a new awesome year of Kingdom Kids. We started with finding out who would be in each team and who would the adult helpers. Then we sang our theme song with some incredible singers and some great dancers. After that we played a lucky dip with coloured balls worth various points. We then sang "Go go go". Our next activity was Throne Room with a twist by asking Mark and Emma questions. We discovered that Marks middle name is Christopher and Emma's real name is Catherine Emma Scott. The Team Challenge was for the leaders to find two facts about the children in their team. The evening finished with the song "May the God of Hope".

KINGDOM KIDS OUTING JULY 2008

On Saturday, 19th July our children's group, Kingdom Kids visited London Zoo. The day started early at East Stour School, where we boarded the coach and mini bus. The journey was long and tiring but we survived ! Our coach driver had an obsession with cranes every one he saw, he pointed out, red ones, yellow ones and some were even blue! London had a lot of building work being carried out.We spent a very enjoyable day at the zoo looking at the many animals including reptiles, big cats, amphibians and Captain's favourite Meerkats. At lunch time we all met up for a picnic in the park area. There was even the opportunity to go on the merry go round.A great day was had by all, so our thanks go to the Kingdom Kids team and a great big thank you to the Rotary Club for funding an enjoyable day out to the Zoo.

PRIZEGIVING 2008

On Sunday we shared a very exciting First Sunday with about a hundred people, including members of Kingdom Kids and their family and friends. We celebrated our children in our end of term and end of year celebration. The children took part in singing, games and other activities, all led by the Captain Sue Woodgate. The adults joined in the tasks too. Thanks were also expressed to the children for their support by the presenting of prizes. Prizes were also given to the childrens' ministries team. Thank you to you all. To conclude the day, being first Sunday, we enjoyed a family celebration buffet, attended by about eighty people. A big, no HUGE thank you to Captains, Ian and Sue Woodgate who once again worked tirelessly to organise today and made it the special day that it was.

So many people turned up in support, which was brilliant. All the children and young people were fabulous and there talents were brilliant!!
Each team did their part, Yellow Team used puppets to mime to a Queen hit, Blue team made cookies, Green Team acted their version f Cinderella and Red team sang 'Right said Fred (cup of tea)'. Many of the children and young people sang songs from High School Musical and the Kingdom Kids leaders danced to a HSM song.

Bowling

This Friday Kingdom Kids went on an adventure to Ashford's Ten pin bowling ally. We had about 50 children and young people and adults.

We had such great fun playing a game of bowling against our teams and some of our team leaders.

There were many strikes and spares and everyone had fun.

All creatures great and small

What an amazing Kingdom Kids Sunday!
We had so much fun coming together as a whole family and celebrating being different. We made some strange creatures and had many challenges.
We sang many songs and danced lots. Some of the adults danced more than the Kingdom kids.
We watched Mr Bean in church!
We learnt that however different we are God still loves us and that's how He made us.
Towards the end of the service, we were asked to make an ID badge to show how individual we all are. We put our thumb print on it and thanked God that no matter how different we are we are still loved and are very special to Him.
Many Kingdom Kids got enrolled and one Kingdom Kid decided to become a friend of Jesus!
We praise God for answered prayers!

Friday 9th November

This week Kingdom Kids carried on the theme of Jeremiah, a prophet of God. We continued on the story and Rachel led throne room with an interactive story of Jeremiah and the scroll.
We had lots of fun singing and dancing.
Sarah-Jane led us in some games of Sarah says... which everyone enjoyed.
Ellie helped us to pray by writing on a very long scroll the people we would like to pray for. This was a really good, reflective time.
Which was followed by Heathers challenge of writing on a scroll as a team all the things God asks us to do, such as love everyone. Then the teams as a choose one of the things written on their scrolls to act out. The teams were brilliant.
